Bravo! Vail Music Festival Announces Free Education & Engagement Programs and Concerts, June 22-July 30, 2026
March 10, 2026Vail, CO (March 10, 2026)– The Bravo! Vail Music Festival (Bravo! Vail) announces more than 30 free concerts and events taking place throughout the Vail Valley as part of its 39th annual Festival, June 22 - July 30, 2026. Featuring a variety of concerts, family-friendly performances, and music appreciation events, Bravo! Vail’s Education and Engagement programs provide high-quality performances and opportunities at little to no cost, ensuring the entire community can enjoy live classical music by renowned artists.
At the heart of Bravo! Vail’s 39th season is a festival-long celebration of Anne-Marie McDermott, who concludes her 16-year tenure as Artistic Director of Bravo! Vail at the end of the summer. That milestone is reflected throughout the Festival’s Education and Engagement programs, including an ambitious musical highlight: eight free two-hour concerts at the Vail Interfaith Chapel featuring the complete cycle of Beethoven’s 32 Piano Sonatas. McDermott invited pianists Illia Ovcharenko, Ilya Shmukler, Fei-Fei Dong, and Chaeyoung Park to perform this landmark cycle, considered to be one of the most important collections of works in music.
"I have always been incredibly proud of Bravo! Vail’s free concert offerings, but this summer marks a dream come true for me,” said McDermott. “To offer our community all of Beethoven’s piano sonatas over eight concerts is something I’ve always wanted to do. To have them performed by these four 'rising-star' pianists is a rare and wonderful opportunity. Their enthusiasm and love for Beethoven’s music is something to behold!"
Additional Education and Engagement season highlights include performances by musicians of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and a month-long residency by Bravo! Vail’s 2026 Chamber Ensemble in Residence, the innovative Beo String Quartet. The Quartet will also perform excerpts by Beethoven on Bravo! Vail and Walking Mountain Science Center’s Nature Walks, led by Gabryel Smith, the director of archives and exhibitions at the New York Philharmonic.
This summer, Bravo! Vail also welcomes string chamber ensemble students to its one-week Young Musicians Summit, June 22-28, 2026. Participants will have the opportunity to receive coaching and play side-by-side with members of the Academy of St Martin in the Fields and renowned violinist and Music Director Joshua Bell, culminating in two public performances.
Admission to all public Bravo! Vail Education and Engagement events are either low-cost or free, but reservations are required. Make your reservations at BravoVail.org or by calling 877-812-5700.
